The 24/7 Jail Phone number is 217-935-2913.  Corrections Staff can only confirm if a person is incarcarated and the amout of their bond.  Charges, Court Dates and Medical Information will not be released.

 

Jail Visitation: Phone 217-935-2913 to schedule jail visitation.

 

Visiting Days are Thursdays and Saturdays. The visitation times will be at 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. You must call 217-935-2913 between the hours of 8:00 to 11:00 on the day of the visit to schedule your 20 minute visit.  You will be asked if you would like an afternoon or evening visit and you will be given a set time.  No requests for certain times will be made.

No one entering late will be allowed into visitation. If you arrive after the time of visition you will not be allowed to visit or rescheduled for that day.  You may request a visit on the next visitation day.

Video visits can be made on Mondays, Tuesday, Wednesdays and Fridays.  Visit www.inmatesales.com for pricing and scheduling.

Any mail sent to detainees must have his/her full name.  A full name and address must be put on the return address portion of the envelope.  Letters not sent by this standard will be marked "Return to Sender"and returned.

Internet printouts and newspaper clippings are not allowed.  They will not be given to the inmate if they are mailed into the jail.

No magazines,newspapers or sexually oriented pictures or books will be accepted.

Upon INITIAL BOOKING into the jail, detainees are permitted to make up to 3 free phone calls.  After the inmate is housed in the jail, calls are made collect or by inmate's pre-paid phone account.  Inmates can also request a "Chirp", which allows text messaging.  To set up an accout with the phone company handing these services, please call (877) 998-5678 or visit www.inmatesales.com.  Money may also be deposited on their account any time in the DeWitt County Jail lobby on the CPC Kiosk.

 

Books,games or puzzles may be dropped off at any time.  No hardback books will be accepted.  Games and puzzles must be brand new and unopened.  Once they enter, they become property of the jail.
