Jail Visitation: Phone 217-935-2913 to schedule jail visitation.

Visiting Days for Both Local and Federal Inmates will be Thursdays and Saturdays, effective December 17th, 2015. The visitation times will be at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. You must call 217-935-2913 between the hours of 8:30 to 12:30 on the day of the visit.

No one entering late will be allowed into visitation. 

Any mail sent to detainees must have his/her full name.  A full name and address must be put on the return address portion of the envelope.  Letters not sent by this standard will be marked "Return to Sender"and returned.

Internet printouts and newspaper clippings are not allowed.  They wiill not be given to the inmate if they are mailed into the jail.

No magazines,newspapers or sexually oriented pictures or books will be accepted.

All phone calls made by detainees are collect calls.  To set up an account with the phone company handling inmate phone calls, please call 1-866-558-2323.

Money may be dropped off at any time.  We accept cash and money orders.  Money sent through the mail must be a money order.  Inmates may place orders throughout the week at their designated Recreation Time.

Books may be dropped off at any time.  No hardback books will be accepted.  Once they enter, they become property of the jail.
