One in custody, One sought in Wapella incident

The Sheriff’s Office has one person in custody and is looking for another in connection with an attempted felony theft in Wapella on Thursday evening.
At about 6pm on 09/26/13, deputies were called to investigate a suspicious person at the Wapella Auction House. The business owners had become suspicious of a man attempting to pay for over $5000 worth of valuables purchased at auction. The suspect fled the business on foot when he saw a deputy pull into the parking lot.
Investigation revealed that the suspect had presented 2 fraudulent government identification cards while registering for the auction, and was intent on defrauding the business.
During their initial investigation, deputies arrested a second suspect in connection with this incident. Kyle G. Huse, 25 of Aurora, Missouri is being held in the DeWitt County Jail on the preliminary charge of driving while license revoked.
The suspect that fled on foot is still wanted for questioning. He was described as a white male approximately 35 years old, 6'2" tall with a slim build, wearing blue jeans, a dark hat and a dark shirt. He was using the alias name of Kenneth Wilson.
